To estimate more accurately the possibility to achieve a 100k$ salary, you should probably take into account the dynamic of each platform market. For example, Apple AppStore has a high number of available of apps but more than 2 billions downloads have been made, that gives a very high ratio of downloads per app. I guess it's easier to achieve your goal in a very dynamic market where people are used to buy many apps.
