Misleading market share numbers

Great analysis overall, except for the "market size" part, which is really off-base. (Example of how market share numbers provided by analysts can be misleading.)

Symbian user base is taken as 61M. This includes large number of Nokia mid-range phones (e.g. 6120) and volumes Nokia phones sold to markets with zero or low penetration of 3G networks. Let's face it, these two categories of users are not really relevant for the purposes of this analysis.

Windows Mobile user base is taken as 30M. This number includes users with devices based on largely outdated versions of the platform (v6.0, v6.1 and even v5.0.) . WM version relevant for this analysis is upcoming v6.5 (shipping soon). The number of v6.5 users will be obviously significantly lower.

Blackberry user base, taken as 28.5M, includes scores of older generation devices which do not support BB World. Also, the fact that the store front end shall be installed by users knocks out larger percentage of users.
